Hurricane Bill on Cape Cod

Although the hurricane didn't end up hitting the Cape, it did hit the seas, which had waves of 10-12 feet and tides that were amazingly high. On Saturday I went to Nauset Beach (without my camera, what was i thinking?!) but on Sunday I went with friends to Coast Guard Beach in Eastham. There were over 100 people all standing and watching the waves and the 3 surfers who looked like they were having a great time. The beach was closed to swimming.

There were many families with children and they were having a blast running in and out of the waves trying to miss them.

The lifeguards were there trying to enforce the no swimming, but otherwise, not much else to do......

It's Hydrangea Time!!

The Cape is alive with the hues of purple, pink, lavender and blue Hydrangeas. They are everywhere and a sight to behold. The conditions must be perfect for these plants and they can take your breath away when you see an array of them in varied colors. These pictures were taken at Hemeon's Farm stand in Harwich--a real stop the car moment!!

Getting Started

I never expected to be a blogger. But as a biker/photographer, I am excited to share my unique view of the Cape. I live in Brewster and ride almost daily around the neighboring towns of Harwich, Orleans, Dennis, Chatham. Of course I venture out all over and this blog will be my way of showing you what I see as I explore. Here are some of my current favorites taken at different times of year. Please join me on this journey.
